The Klitzekleine Ring is a community of eleven wineries in and around the town of Traben-Trarbach. We were brought together by our love of winemaking tradition and a desire to protect our region’s culture for future generations. It is with this common ambition that we present to you our Riesling wines – we’ve called them »Bergrettung«. It is launched to the market each year in September during the »Tafelrunde«, our by now almost legendary wine tasting evening.

»Bergrettung« is a pun with the German name for the alpine rescue services. Because alongside the production of our wine, we are dedicated to the recovery and maintenance of mature vineyards in some of the region’s steepest sites; vineyards which would otherwise fall into disrepair and disuse. In this way we strive to support the preservation of what we consider to be one of the world’s greatest cultural landscapes.
